We offer 4 handle choices, with shaft lengths ranging between (including handle) 7 inches to 19 inches, except our Staff Handle which is 27 inches. All handles are interchangeable or compatible with all blades. Unless you get a Staff, your handle shaft length is probably the most important consideration when choosing this component.
To figure out what length of handle you need, you may need to know what the "overall" length of the blade is. These "specs" are found at the bottom of each blades desciption.

We have two mainstream styles in four sizes. Traditional and Asymmetric in 7", 8.5", 10", and 12.5" sizes. We also have variations to those, including Wider blades, Kickerless blades, and custom blades.

The "Size" corresponds to the blade's length, from the kicker to the tip.

Asymmetric Blade - 07" light (L) This blade is for really easy ground "only", and it is not recommended as your primary shovel. This blade comes in an asymmetric shape and one kicker only, and is made of very tough, light weight carbon steel, hence the mere 620g (lightest planting shovel on the planet).
